These days, it’s so hard to find the best acne products for your skin. Why? Because EVERYONE HAS A BRAND OUT THERE THAT CLAIMS THEY DO THE SAME THING!
If there’s one thing you need to know about me it’s that I am very picky with what products I use, especially on my face.
As for my skin, I’m pretty okay with it. Minus the fact that it’s so oily you could fry French fries on it, but it could be worse. Oh wait, it was worse before I found the right products that compliment what my skin needed.
I also have the occasional breakout during that time of month because I am a female and if you don’t break out every month I do not trust you.
Before, my forehead acne was terrible. Now, I learned how to take care of that problem area. I double cleanse at night using the best cleanser in the entire world which works well with my clogged up forehead pores.
Anyways, back to how serious I am about my skin. I’m that loser who sits in the aisle at the store and Googles every review on every product before I swipe my card on it. Why? Because ingredients can be really scary and one bad product can ruin your skin.
Before we get in to detail on my favorite products, keep in mind that everyone has different skin and every product reacts to skin differently. With these products, I actually gave them a chance and didn’t use them twice and think “damn, these are terrible products because they aren’t working on my face!” I stuck to them for about a month and now they a part of my every day life.
Okay, let’s get started! I am so excited to share these with you:
Neutrogena Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes // Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes Night Calming:
I have used these makeup removing toilettes since I first started wearing makeup. Why do I love this product? Because Kim Kardashian also uses it. JUST KIDDING! I love this product because it actually removes all of my makeup and doesn’t dry my skin. I have also had zero problems with this product making me breakout which is a win for me.
Neutrogena T/Gel® Therapeutic Shampoo-Original Formula
Get this — I literally cleared my forehead acne by using this shampoo. This is the only shampoo I will ever use from here on out because it tames my oily scalp. It keeps my hair fresh and shiny for days which means I don’t have to wash my hair every day! I can’t forget to mention the reason why it cleared my forehead acne. This shampoo controls chronic Scalp Psoriasis, Seborrheic Dermatitis and even common Dandruff.
Did you know that those little forehead bumps aren’t really acne? They are clogged pores. For some reason. other shampoos would make me breakout even more because of the oily ingredients in them. When I shower, I also scrub my forehead with this stuff and it cleared my forehead bumps within a week!
Vivant Skin Care Mandelic Acid 3‑in‑1 Wash
Mandelic Acid 3-in-1 Wash prevents ingrown hairs and can be used as a shampoo on scalp to control dandruff and acne. I did try this has a shampoo but it doesn’t lather up as much as I would like so I use it as shaving cream and it’s amazing! No one wants ingrown hairs and this has helped dramatically.
Yes to Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Cleanser AND Yes To Tomatoes Blemish Clearing Facial Towelettes
YES to THIS! YES YES YES. Forget about all of those expensive face cleansers and wipes that claim they treat acne because this is the real deal. SERIOUSLY! I usually never rave about products but this is the first product to EVER clear my acne. I had terrible forehead bumps from being so oily and after double cleansing every night for a few weeks, this cleanser is the only thing that has worked on my skin.
The wipes are also really great for on-the-go. Whenever I feel greasy, I just use these and they make me feel so refreshed. I keep these in my purse. Honestly, thank the YES to TOMATOES Gods because this is one brand I can not live without.
Thayers Rose Petal Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera
I decided to give this toner a go when I saw 5,000+ positive reviews on Amazon. Not only is it alcohol free but the rose water is very soothing on your skin. I’m pretty sure I suffer a little bit of rosacea on my cheeks and the rose water really helps. Did I mention it’s alcohol free!
I am really happy I got to share the 5 products I can’t live without. And to make you guys feel better, this is all for less than $100! I mean, the most expensive product was the Vivant Skin Care Mandelic Acid 3‑in‑1 Wash which was around $40 but the other products you can either find at your nearest drug store OR Amazon.
Have you tried any of these products? Love them? Hate them? Comment and let me know what your favorites are! I would love to try them out as well.
