Is it just me or has 2017 made you want to scream at the top of your lungs? Because we live in a world with so much happening, it’s up to us to make the right choices.
But, surprise! Life will always throw you a curve ball and most things will not go as planned.
You may have made a few bad choices in your life, as have I. But I’m here to tell you that you’re not a bad person just because you made a bad decision.
After you make a bad decision, you replay that experience over and over again. You lose sleep. You try to figure out where you went wrong and why this could happen to you. Trust me–I know the feeling. I’m here to tell you it’s okay because nobody is perfect.
Mistakes are life lessons.
Every mistake you make is a valuable lesson gained. There has to be a way to learn outside of school and it’s through making decisions whether they are good or bad. The guilt after a bad decision will live in your memory, but find a place in your heart to forgive yourself.
Take that bad choice, learn from it, and grow.
Growing up, whenever I make a mistake I felt like it was the end of the world. Instead of sulking, I now try to fix my mistake as soon as possible so I can move on with my life. Mistakes help you realize what is right and wrong to you. You can’t learn anything without messing up and trying to put things back together.
You can always try again.
Every single day is a brand new day. A fresh day where you can start over! If you hurt someone, apologize and make amends. If you failed a test, strive to do better next time. The best way to overcome a mistake is to fix it and prove that you will do better.
To those who have made a bad decision: keep your head high. Learn from your mistake and keep moving forward.
